Our Fees
Legal fees for family law matters are usually based on the lawyer's time spent working on your file. This makes it hard to get a sense at the outset of how much it will cost to resolve your family law matter. At Leblanc Family Law we strive to provide family law services at a predictable price by providing clients with a range of options for legal representation depending on your needs. We offer a free introductory call and flat fee pricing for divorce-only packages. Additional flat fee pricing may be offered upon request following an initial consultation. Nora's current hourly rate is $400 plus GST.
We provide divorce-only packages as an alternative to time-based billing if there are no dependent children and/or all other issues such as parenting, child support, spousal support and the division of property and debt have been previously resolved through a separation agreement or court order, and where the child support agreement, if any, is in compliance with the Federal Child Support Guidelines. There packages only apply to situations where the claim will proceed on an uncontested basis.
Divorce package #1:
(If you have no dependent children)
$1,500 plus taxes and disbursements
Divorce package #2
(If you have dependent children, but you have a current separation agreement or court order that adequately deals with child support)
$1,800 plus taxes and disbursements
Both packages include:

Drafting, filing and service of the Statement of Claim for Divorce

Drafting, executing and filing the Request for Divorce, Affidavit of Applicant and proposed Divorce Judgment

Providing you with the filed Divorce Judgment and Certificate of Divorce
Disbursements to be paid by you include process server fees, if applicable, and court filing fees (estimated at $350).
If you have dependent children and need an updated child support agreement, we can assist you first to obtain an updated agreement, with these services provided at our regular hourly rate, after which we can offer Divorce package #2.
